Tamala Kambikambi is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Cavendish University Zambia. She is previously a Senior Lecturer at the University of Zambia.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Zambia. A Master of Science in Agriculture from the University of Zambia and a PhD in Agriculture from the University of Zambia. She holds a number of Certificates in; Finance for Non-financial Managers; Moodle Training and D-space; Module Writing; Competence for Training of Trainers in Responsible Use of Pesticides; Biosafety Policies and Intellectual Property; Biotechnology Communication; Biotechnology and Biosafety; Leadership and Environment; Methodological Options in Policy-Relevant in Social Research; Maize Improvement and Seed Production; Pasture Production; Soybean and Cowpea Breeding, Production and Utilization.

She has served in various capacities as the Chairperson of the National Governing Council for the African Peer Review Mechanism. She served as a Chairperson and Board Member of the Zambia Daily Mail. She served as the Chairperson of the Audit Committee on the Board of the Zambia Development Agency. She was appointed to the Global Environmental Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP) National Steering Committee of the United Nations Development Fund. She has served as a member of the Technical Advisory Committee to the Board of Environment Council of Zambia (now Zambia Environmental Management Agency and was the National Chairperson for the Zambia Women’s Lobby, Inter alia.
